DIGITAL SANCTUARIES

This multi-screen video installation explores memory not as a crystal clear record but as a fluid reshaped over time. This work uses strategic arrangement of screens, overlays, transparency and distortion to mirror the ay memories fade, shift and reconstruct itself over time.
The footage is drawn from recorded observations of everyday environments: urban corridors, riverside movements and nocturnal soundscapes. These fragments are layered into a single visual field here multiple times and perspectives co-exist.
Inspired by experimental video practices of Nam June Paik that challenges linear perception, this installation transforms documentation into immersive experience. Viewers are invited to sit and mentally move through this sanctuary where memory is not just replayed but in a fluid and imperfect way reassembled.
Accuracy gives way to feelings, nostalgia and emotions in this sanctuary.

BEEHIVE

The beehive is a shelter intervention for young and early career starters.
A small affordable community where youths can live, work( remotely) and play.
The rising cost of property and surge of activities in urban areas can be overwhelming and not easy for a young career starter who is trying to earn a penny.
Hence, the Beehive:
An affordable 8 sqm hexagonal ensuite tiny house stacked on each other. The stack resembles a beehive hence the name

PLOT 141

Plot 141 consists of two units of four bedroom duplexes. The building reflects the clients idea of a family house with open-free-flowing interior spaces.
The layout treats the building as a street by linking all the interior spaces in a linear form. The ground floor shelters the common areas while the first floor hosts the private family spaces.
Exaggerated head-rooms, big vertical and horizontal windows are features that distinguishes the property from adjoining properties in the estate. Considering the plot size, the setbacks were utilized as outdoor seating areas and vegetative cover to collect water runoff and compliment the paved drive way.

THE CLUSTER

The cluster is a neighbourhood housing plan that sits in the thin line between luxury-living and cluster housing type. Proposed for young professionals "The Cluster" comprises of several fully detached units of one bedroom open-plan apartments on two levels."The Cluster" is simply luxury compressed into a small housing unit. The unmethodical arrangement of the glass and wood facade components reflects the visual distortion in typical rain forest as we try to see through the spaces within trees and vegetations.

RIVER RETREAT

The Niger Delta's lush rainforest and vibrant aquatic life are fading fast, victims of pollution and oil spills. As renewable energy rises, oil companies will vanish, leaving behind desolate landscapes. Let's revive these wounded lands with a Retreat that draws in explorers, scientists, and nature lovers. Inspired by timber logs laid side by side, our circular wooden haven blends into the environment, with hidden storage and waste spaces below. Residents enjoy an immersive view of nature from each of the cabins.

WOMEN SOCIAL HUB

Designers :
- Egba Daniel Evwibovwe
- Kenechukwu Edeh

In rural areas, young females face harsh realities; limited access to education, early marriages, and scarce opportunities. Many are left with tough choices, petty trading, street hawking, or worse. That's why we created the Women Social Hub, a collaborative concept piece between Kenechukwu Edeh and I. This hub aims to be a template for a safe and multi-use space where females in the rural community can learn and collaborate. This hub aims to host:
- Foundational and vocational skills training
- Mentorship and support
- Community building and networking
- Empowerment through education and socialization

TUBE INCUBATOR

In a world where a computer is all you need to start a business, we're reimagining the workspace. Introducing the experimental Tube Incubator, a tiny (4.7m footprint!) but mighty multilevel haven for digital pros. Ditch the dull office vibe and join a vibrant community!
- Reception → open workspaces → interactive levels → social hub on top
- Central support, outdoor views, and a space that sparks creativity
- Perfect for those who crave a different kind of work environment

DIPPED IN NATURE

Let's flip the script on sustainability! Instead of just adding nature to architecture like spread on bread, let's immerse architecture in nature. Introducing a tiny-house in the rainforest of the Oil city of Warri, where nature takes center stage. This single-dwelling haven is the minor, while the lush forest is the major - a bold inversion of the norm.
- Solar power and rainwater harvest for minimal footprint
- Timber & bamboo frame blends seamlessly with surroundings
- Glass walls & skylight to give breathtaking views of the surrounding nature
- Sounds of water, wind, birds... pure bliss
- Boat rides through creeks and forest strolls
Guests wake up to birdsong, working with trees as shade, and unwinding with a creek-side sunset.

When the noise gets too loud,
When the gases won't let my lungs breathe
I search for a space that offers purity to my body and soul,
I yearn for a space pure as nature.
A place where I can be one with nature,
Where I can live exposed but unafraid, toxin free air, a healthy ecosystem.
I breathe better, I think better, I feel free.
A place where I can be one with myself, healthy and at peace.

OBSERVING RIVERS

Let's rethink how we experience our waters. We're often stuck observing from afar, towers, private beaches, or crowded public shores. But what's missing is immersion. The River Observatory changes that. It's a frame that captures the river's beauty, uninterrupted. This isn't just a structure; it's a gaze redirector. A space that says, "Focus on the water."
- Stairs morph into seats, leading to a cubicle high above
- Sheltered spot underneath for relaxation
- A hub for joggers, beachgoers, and nature lovers
No distractions. Just you and the river's rhythm. Redirecting our gaze to what's essential.

PROJECT SERENA

And He said to them. "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while". For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. MARK 6:31Project Serena is an escape retreat for a client in the rainforest region of Puerto Rico. Nestled in the jungle, the retreat boasts several buildings made from bamboo, wood & thatch, while being supported by stone-based foundations. The majority of the components are being sourced from around the site.
A swimming pool, a general kitchen area for cooking lessons, an open dining area, a yoga hall, chalets for guests, and a Temple.
The project is conceptualized from how Nature's elements in the rainforest are positioned chaotically and organically yet not compromising itself or other organisms in the jungle.
